Sang vokalis, Lyta, mengatakan Soulfood telah membumbui EP ini dengan semangat, warna, dan energi baru meski karyanya sudah dimuat bersamaan dengan album sebelumnya. Mereka juga menjadikan saran teman-teman sebagai motivasi dalam keberanian melahirkan EP tersebut. Dorongan ini semakin meyakinkannya bahwa setiap karya memiliki nilai bila dirawat dan menempatkan sesuai kebutuhannya.

“Tadinya kami ragu mau rilis ini. Karena menurut kami ini karya yang basi. Udah dibikin lama tapi rilisnya baru sekarang," katanya.

Album ini jauh lebih menonjol bila disandingkan dengan tematik Soulfood pada dua album sebelumnya. Beberapa dentuman afro banyak terdengar. Mereka menambahkan ballad berjudul ‘Tell Me’ dengan hanya komposisi gitar dan vokal.

"Ini idenya Mas Dadang. Ternyata setelah kami denger-denger ulang, oh man, Ini sih dia! Kami rasa Mas Dadang berhasil," lanjutnya.

Karya ini tersusun alami, setelah timeline EP ini dibuat, mereka lalu membuat konsep serta narasi hingga penyampaiannya. Trio tersebut membereskan beberapa part vokal yang masih terlalu mentah di tempat Kevin Suwandhi yaitu Bigtunes Workspace.

"Saking gemasnya menyikapi album, kami mengambil tindakan mandiri dalam mengedit bahkan premix album, dan itu semua dikerjakan oleh gitaris mereka Bam George," ungkapnya.
